ENTERIC FEVER OR PARATYPHOID FEVERS

Abstract
An observation was made on the pattern of changes in typhoidal form of Salmonellosis in Korea, :`arid it was found that the incidence of paratyphoid fever B was so high that "Paratyphoid fever" implicated mostly Paratyphoid B other than the rest of the forms of Paratyphoid before the World War 11 and the incidence of Paratyphoid A was very rare. During Korean War from 1.950 to 1953, it was an unknown reason that the incidence of Paratyphoid A was co rampant while those of paratyphoid B together with Typhoid fever were low.
In addition to the higher incidence of paratyphoid fever during the same period (1950^¢¥1953), the incidence of typhoidal form of Salmonellosis was also high, and the interesting situation developed that not only the outbreak of typhoidal form of S. choleraesuis, but also of typhoidal form (Enteric fever) occurred considerably prominently in S. typhimurium., S. paratyphy C, S. enteritides, S. blegdam which are widely known ac organisms responsible for salmonella gastroenteritis.
Since 1960 from the armistice of Korean War, the incidence of Typhoid fever was on the brink of increase but those of typhoidal form of Salmonellosis including Paratyphoid fever were low.
